How To Clean Seint Makeup Brushes: 3 Best Methods

It cannot be debated that having the right makeup brushes is just as important as having the right shade of makeup. But what’s even more important than having the right tools is the maintenance of such tools so that they last you for a while. In the world of glam, cleaning and maintaining your brushes is just as important as purchasing a full makeup brush set.

Seint features double-ended brushes (two for the price of one). Some of their most popular brushes are the IIID brush, detail brush, smudge brush, buff brush, multitasker brush, line brush, and blend brush. In this article we will discuss how to clean Seint makeup brushes, why you should clean them regularly, and more.

WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER CLEANING YOUR BRUSHES REGULARLY

As expected, makeup residues coat the bristles of your brush with every use, thereby making the last application worse than the former. Dirty brushes will not distribute the makeup to your face efficiently, hence leaving you with a cakey facial appearance.

The second reason you might consider cleaning your brushes more regularly (if you have been doing it at all) is because liquid makeup in brushes creates an environment that allows bacteria to grow when kept overnight and this can in turn cause major breakouts, and I’m pretty sure that is quite the opposite of what you are trying to achieve with your face.

Thirdly, too much makeup buildup is not good for the brushes themselves, as the buildup can weigh down the bristles and cause them to snap off. As brushes are expensive, this is just another reason you should definitely consider washing them regularly.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD BRUSHES BE CLEANED

When you think about it, just for sanitary reasons alone, make-up brushes should be cleaned at least once a week. However, if you have the luxury of time, you can wash after each application, especially if you are using readymade brush cleaners.

THINGS YOU SHOULD NEVER DO WHILE WASHING YOUR BRUSHES

When it comes to Seint makeup brush cleaning, what you don’t want to do is soak your brushes in water because water sipping into the ferrule (the metal sleeve that binds the bristles of your brush together) will cause the glue to break down, thus causing the bristles to fall out, and eventually, you won’t have many brushes to wash.

Also, you should avoid cleaners that contain fragrance, dyes, or any heavy formulas. The reason for this is that you will be rubbing the brush to your face and whatever the bristles picked up during wash could be transferred to your face which will cause irritation.

HOW TO CLEAN SEINT MAKEUP BRUSHES: DIFFERENT METHODS

Without spending a fortune, there are quite a handful of ways to effectively clean your brushes. These methods can include using cleaning agents such as bar soap, liquid dishwashing soap, shampoo, or a ready-made makeup brush cleaner. These methods do not require any special training, and as such, anybody who has the time can actually dive straight in to the cleaning. Knowing how to clean seint makeup brushes is important if you use this brand.

Without further ado, here are the easy methods to have a residue and bacteria free make-up brush.

How to clean Seint makeup brushes

1. WITH BAR OF SOAP

You might want to consider using a bathing soap and not laundry soap. The reason for this is that laundry soaps contain more detergent than bath soaps. Thus, using laundry soap will decrease the lifespan of your brush bristles.

How to clean seint makeup brushes using bar soap:

  • Put a little water in a bowl and get your bar of soap wet.
  • Wet the bristles of your brush and then rub them on your soap (while holding the soap in your hand, of course).
  • Massage the bristles with your finger and then rinse with water.
  • Repeat steps 1-3 till your rinse water doesn’t get discolored.
  • Squeeze out excess water from the bristles by using your index finger and thumb (or any other two fingers you are comfortable using, there are no laws).
  • Lay your brush flat on a clean towel to air-dry for several hours or overnight.

2. WITH DISHWASHING LIQUID SOAP OR SHAMPOO

Before you rush into your toilet to grab your shampoo bottle, understand that using a shampoo on your brush can be quite tricky. Just like you would not want to use just any “heavy duty” bar of soap on your brush, you definitely don’t want to use an anti-dandruff shampoo. You simply need the normal moisturizing shampoo. Like laundry soaps, anti-dandruff shampoos contain higher amounts of detergents that will be tough on the bristles of your brush. There are two ways in which one can use shampoo or dishwashing liquid soap. How to clean seint makeup brushes using dishwashing liquid soap.

Method One:

  • Squirt a few drops of preferred liquid dishwashing soap or shampoo (not anti-dandruff please) into a bowl
  • Add a little water (preferably hot or lukewarm) into the bowl. Ensure that the water is not deep and does not go beyond the bristles, so the brush does not take up so much water in its handle.
  • Swirl the brush vigorously in the liquid soap or shampoo and water mix for a few seconds.
  • Wipe the brush in the palm of your hands for a few moments and then rinse in running water (or a bowl of clean water). Squeeze out the water from the brush with your thumb and index finger.
  • Lay the brush down on a clean towel and leave it for several hours or overnight to dry.

Method Two:

  • Squirt a few drops of liquid soap or shampoo into your palm
  • Wet the  bristles of your brush with water and then swirl the brush in the liquid soap or shampoo on your palm
  • Using your fingers as a wash pad, swipe the brush vigorously to ensure that the old makeup breaks down
  • Rinse away the lather from your brush. Note: You will know if your brush is clean when your rinse water is not discolored anymore.
  • Place the bristles between your index finger and thumb and squeeze out any excess water.
  • Lay brush flat on a clean towel to dry for several hours or overnight.

At this point, it needs to be reemphasized: NEVER EVER SOAK YOUR BRUSHES IN WATER. This is because the water could go into your brush and weaken the glue that holds the bristles together, which will loosen the bristles overtime.

3. WITH SEINT BRUSH CLEANERS

Seint has their own brush cleaner, which is a very handy tool to have in your makeup kit as it cleans so well and your brush will be ready to use immediately after because the brush cleaner doesn’t make it soaking wet and it doesn’t need to dry over night. It also dissolves the bacteria that may have been on your brushes. This means you can clean your brush just before you use it or right after you use it.

How to clean seint makeup brushes using seint brush cleansers:

  • Spray about two or three squirts into your brush.
  • Using a paper towel, wash cloth or clean towel, gently wipe the brush in a swirly motion until the brush no longer stains the towel.

CONCLUSION

Cleaning your brushes regularly removes any build up of old makeup, bacteria, and dead cells. Having read all this, if you are tired of having acne, inflammation and irritations on your skin, wash your brushes regularly. Thinks otherwise, I hope your skin does not file a suit against you.
